I wanted to do a Model T truck for a while. I saw this one and it said ‘build me’! It included a impressive sheet of decals for many different Coke trucks. Also two paint schemes. White and the one I chose, red.
I built the model out of the box. Like most AMT kits it did have some fit issues, but not anything a bit of experience and putty can’t fix. The body and the frame are in multiple parts and care must be taken to align everything up correctly. The main color is Apple Red from Rust Oleum. The gold trim is a Testors Gold Paint Marker. The gloss coat is high gloss polyurethane from Minwax. I covered use of this product in an earlier blog entry.
The kit included a simple cardboard display of and old time street scene. Makes for a nice little display.
