Gundam Category Distinctions:

  • (l) Unmodified Gunpla 1/144 scale:
    Entries must be prestented as the base model (basic construction) regardless of finish. No extra customization like scribing, pla plate, kit bashing ect. Painting and decal work is acceptable.
  • (m) Custom Gunpla 1/144 scale:
    Entered entries must show some form of customization. Whether it is Scribing, pla-plate, scratch building, resin conversion/parts and or kitbashing ect. Giving a new color scheme alone will not count for the category. For best judging results it is encouraged that your entry has it's original manual.
  • (n) Unmodified Gunpla 1/100 scale:

  • (o) Custom Gunpla 1/100 scale:

  • (p) Other Gunpla:
    Any other gunpla kit that does not already have an assigned category can be entered here. All entries will be judged based off the quality of finish and presentation.
  • (q) Mecha:
    This category is for any non gunpla/gundam mecha model entries.


NOTES

  1. Prior IPMS-Seattle First Place winning models are not eligible (except in Collections Category and Group Builds).
  2. IPMS-USA National Contest Rules generally apply.
  3. Head judges' decisions are final! If you have a question please contact them.
  4. Only one category per model.
  5. Where classes are subject to interpretation, the entrant may choose the category;. Judge's may reassign models to a more appropriate classes at their discretion.
  6. If your diorama is overly large, or has special requirements, please contact the show chairman prior to the show.
  7. At the judges' discretion "HIGHLY COMMENDED" ribbons may also be awarded.
  8. At the judges discretion categories may be split.
  9. Judges wear ID tags. After awards are posted, feel free to discuss your results with them.
  10. There will be One "Best Out of the Box" award per designated (*) category.
  11. Models in display cases during judging will NOT be judged. No exceptions.
  12. All Out of the Box entries must have the kit instructions on the table with the model to be eligible for an OOB award.
